Minimal Dance

Gracias Angie.

Tom Spain Irlandés, profesor, cantante y padre recientemente.

Canciones

It pleases my mind

(E. Páez/ J.A. Navarro)

Voz: Eva Páez

I keep my own pace along the boulevard
I’m followed by no one.
The lights of the streets mimic the setting sun,
They flicker and die.

The Cave of the Nymph is as gloomy and dark
As I ever needed it to be
The beat of the night empties the sweaty hearts
And it’s time for me to let go,

Lay down, the minutes had then turned to hours;
Don’t fall, playing with fire only gets you burn.

Break the chains with your eyes
My worries are simply pulverized
Your soul and mine collide
And feeling all of this only pleases my mind
It pleases my mind

When pain subsides, oblivion’s everywhere,
It comforts the soul
Our body’s collapse and fall inside the drain,
There’s no better place to be

Lay down; the minutes had then turned to hours;
Don’t fall; playing with me only gets you burn.

Break the chains with your eyes
My worries are simply pulverized
Your soul and mine collide
The lights and the shades make their way to my heart
‘Couse all that I need is to know what is real
React and forget what is there to feel
‘Couse after so long I can say I’ve been blind
And feeling all this only pleases my mind

It pleases my mind

Sunrise

(E. Páez/ J.A. Navarro)

Voz: Eva Páez y Tom Spain

Probably the sky feels closer to collapsing,
Engineers try rearranging all the wires.
And is hardly anywhere for us to run to,
All the things we ever cared for fall apart.

And it’s certain that it fails from the foundations,
Try as you might, feelings are coming back
And we are bound to keep committing the same errors,
We know our faults; we know we had it all
Before it dies
Let’s wait for the sunrise

Probably we never paid enough attention,
Took for granted many things we shouldn’t have.
And is hardly anything we ever did right,
We where wrong and we are now paying the price.

And it’s certain that it fails from the foundations,
Try as we might, feelings are coming back,
And we are bound to keep committing the same errors,
We know our faults; let’s take a brand new start.
Before it dies
Forget about the things that made us
fall apart,
Our feelings may shine clearer in the sun,

‘Cause I have never seen you’re eyes so bright,
Regrets just sweep away our stupid pride,
We could deny all this but really, how could I
Forget that you’re the one? Just one night can stir our soul.

Let’s try forget about the things that made us
Fall apart,
Our feelings may shine clearer in the sun,
‘Cause I have never seen you’re eyes so bright,
Regrets just sweep away our stupid pride,
We could deny all this but really, why?
How could I forget your gleaming eyes?
We could just let go but how could I forget that you’re the one?
That we had it all?
We had it all…

Woman's got to do

(A. Herna/ J.A. Navarro)

Voz: Angie Herna

CHORUS- Womans got to do what shes got to do (4veces)
No matter what they say
and you know who
I hate to say it girls
oh no no
it's hardly ever true the...

"You don't need no make up"
No no
"I like my women round"
It's just a mass ass plan
to keep us underground
ooooh so remember...
(Chorus)

Society, designed men
they've got us in a bind
no no
be fat, be thin
wear this wear that
wish we could leave it all behind.

But at the end of the day
reflections of you
remind you of what's real
It's you who decides
you know the deal
so remember.

(chorus)

Hope is the last thing

(T. Spain / J.A. Navarro)

Coz: Tom Spain.
Coros: Andrea Rodríguez.

She’s listening to the sound
Of the rain that’s tumbling down all over town
When he pulls up in the car
To the door she’s left ajar
She just feels nothing

And it’s all she can do not to tell him
To build a smile for her face when he comes

But from the edge of the room
He can sense the darkening mood
And he runs to take her in his arms
And then he tells her

Don’t forget
This is as good as it gets
But hope is the last thing
That you should ever
You should ever lose, don't you know.

She hangs on to his words but doesn’t see
He holds on to her hands and doesn’t leave

So she tells him how she feels
As if nothing here is real, as if she’s drowning
That this rain is here to stay
That it’s with her every day
And now she’s crying.

And he pulls her closer still
As if his arms, as if his will
Could squeeze the sadness from her face
And then he tells her

Don’t forget
This is as good as it gets
But hope is the last thing
That you should ever
You should ever lose, x2

And she cries to the sound of the rain
As the day closes down on their embrace
She hangs on to his words but doesn’t see
He holds on to her hands and doesn’t leave
Well if you don’t have hope, then baby you’ve got nothing left ( coda repeat )
left to lose, nothing left to lose, nothing left to lose.

Don't be shy

(E. Páez/ J.A. Navarro)

Voz y coros: Eva Páez.

Oh, yeah. Come to me.
Oh yeah, I’m waiting right here.

Midnight party,
And I’m quite on my own.
I catch you staring with those hazel eyes,
I got no choice but to improvise.

Don’t give up, don’t give up.
If your target is my heart
Don’t be shy, don’t be shy.

Oh, yeah
Come to me.
Oh yeah,

I start to dance and you’re moving closer,
The time between the two of us has frozen.
When your mouth is coming near,
I could almost bite your lips.

Close your eyes, Close your eyes.
If your target is my heart
Don’t be shy, don’t be shy.

Oh, yeah. Come to me.
Oh yeah, I’m waiting right here.
Oh, yeah. Come to me.
Oh yeah, Just come near!

Don’t give up, don’t give up.
If your target is my heart
Don’t be shy, don’t be shy.

You’re the lucky one, the one I choose.
Don’t give up, don’t give up.
If your target is my heart
Close your eyes, close your eyes.
Don’t be shy, don’t be shy.

There was a time

(T. Spain/J.A. Navarro)

voz: Tom Spain.
coros y 2ªvoz: Eva Páez.
Trompeta: Pepe Troya.

We were big getting bigger
We were the new kids in town
And we just knew we were gonna take the world by storm

You had the words and the style
I had the riffs and the guile
The people there saying there’s nothing we couldn’t do

They started to court you
To praise and distort you
You believed you were special
So special that you had to be alone

We were hot getting hotter
We were setting the style
They were telling us it was only a matter of time

We couldn’t miss
Had the world at our feet
We really thought there was nothing beyond our reach

They started to court you
To praise and distort you
You believed you were special
So special that you had to be alone

There was a time you said that you needed me
There was a time you lived and you breathed me
You swore you’d never ever be leaving me
That’s what you said, yeah
There was a time, believed every word you said
There was a time my heart followed where you led
But when it mattered you went it alone
And you left me for dead

They started to court you
To praise and distort you
You believed you were special
So special that you had to be alone

Falling harder

(E. Páez/J.A. Navarro)

voz y coros: Eva Páez.

The sun comes through the leaves,
My vision’s blurry now, oh.
I stir while I’m looking for you,
The blankets whisper as I move,
“He’s gone”.

What are you to me?
Perhaps it’s just infatuation,
You know what I feel?
It’s hard to cope with these sensations.

Never mind, it’s not real,
I’ll make coffee while I think,
Detach my heart, but,
I do mind, if it’s real,
I’ll think while I grab the keys
If I deserve all of this.

Falling harder.

Every night I spend with you,
Makes me climb some more, reach for the heavens!
The morning comes and I realize
I’ve lost another paradise,
Yet again.

So they say, what they say!
The bigger it gets,
The harder it falls!
Falling harder,
Do you love me?
Do you?

What are you to me?
You know what I feel?
Make up my mind,
Make up my mind!

Falling, harder.

Life on Auto-Pilot

(T. Spain / J.A. Navarro)

voz: Tom Spain.
coros: Andrea Rodríguez.
Trompeta: Pepe Troya.

No periphery
But we’re making the decisions
What else do we need to see

Trapped inside a present
With no memory of the past
No time to see the future
Cause it’s coming on too fast

But remember the day
When you stole that perfect kiss
Well if only you’d known
How much you’d miss it…

Life on auto-pilot
In sweet security
A remote-control existence
On this planet of the free
Surrounded by the fences
Of high morality
Of the rules and regulations
We make so eagerly

So cast your mind back
To when you held her in your arms
The secret lover
Lured there by your charms

No limits
Out of control
Food for the body
But manna for your soul

Give up
Living the show
Loosen your grip
Just let it go

Life on auto-pilot
In sweet security
A remote-control existence
On this planet of the free
Surrounded by the fences
Of high morality
Of the rules and regulations
We made so eagerly

So cast your mind back
To when you held her in your arms
The secret lover
Lured there by your charms

No limits
Out of control
Food for the body
But manna for your soul
Give up

Wish I could fly

(A. Herna / J.A. Navarro)

voz y coros: Angie Herna.

Oh how I wish that I could fly
just like the birds and butterflies
I wanna feel the freedon they feel
Oh how I wish that I could fly
just like the birds and butterflies
I really need to make it real.

I wanna feel the sun just bless my tired wings
I wanna feel the rain caress my broken dream
I just want my soul like the wind
free and blessed and constant need to sing.

One day I know I'm gonna find the strenght I need
somebody please oh baby please heard my plead.
I know with you I'll find the strenght I'm gonna need
oh come on Lord please hear me.
I know with you I'll find the strenght I'm gonna need
to spread my tired souls flightless wings

Oh how I wish that I could fly
just like the birds and butterflies
I wanna feel the freedon they feel
Oh how I wish that I could fly
just like the birds and butterflies
I really need to make it real.

Looking at the sky
watch the clouds go by
I feel like I could cry
but then I stop and feel
what I know is real
and I know my soul is ready to fly oh yeah
Now I feel my soul is blessed and my dreams
I just wanna get up and sing.

Oh how I wish that I could fly
just like the birds and butterflies
I wanna feel the freedon they feel
Oh how I wish that I could fly
just like the birds and butterflies
I really need to make it real.
